The FAMU Electronic Engineering Technology Program (FAMU EET) prepares students for challenging and fast pace careers in the fields of engineering and engineering technology.
EET students receive a broad-based, technology oriented education that emphasizes the application of modern technology to solve problems, design and develop products, improve processes, procedures, equipment, and facilities.
The curriculum is designed to meet the demands in the electronics industry and other business and government organizations related to electronics in the occupational spectrum of electronic engineering technologist or electrical engineer. The EET department currently offers a program that develops expertise in the core areas of Electronics, Electronic Communication systems, Advanced Electronics, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Wireless, and Industrial Electronics & Control Systems Technology.
The mission of the Electronic Engineering Technology program is to become a national leader in teaching electronic engineering theory, design, and application with a strong foundation in design, analysis and implementation of integrated electronic systems.Recent graduates of the Electronic Engineering Technology program are employed in areas such as communication, manufacturing and testing; automotive manufacturing; computer hardware or software technologies; and production line supervisors.
